I'm not saying to spend what you don't have. Rather, ensure that you do not compromise your safety and choose a safe hotel/location (check NUMBEO or a credible website for the safety index and reviews from credible users of the hotel you plan on staying at).

I didn’t understand what “Strip” meant regarding Las Vegas. I wasn't sure what was entailed in that. 😂

I learned that the Las Vegas Strip is similar to a “Beach Boardwalk” but instead of being connected to a “beach” it’s connected to the Las Vegas resorts and casinos.

Other things I didn’t know until I got to Las Vegas: Most of the well-known clubs (i.e.: Omnia, XS Nightclub, TAO, Ayu, etc.) are located inside the resorts. For example, Marquee nightclub is located inside The Cosmopolitan resort and hotel.

I'm not here to condemn whichever route you choose to take in Vegas, but if you're like me and you want to enjoy having a good time without drinking/partying here are...

Walk the Vegas Strip
Explore the resorts

My favorites:

New York, New York Hotel - they created a "Central Park and Brooklyn Bridge" outside of the resort. Inside the resort they have beautiful NYC Apartment styled designs), shops, eateries, arcade (near the Big Apple rollercoaster), etc.
Paris Las Vegas - I didn’t go inside, but it was beautiful from the outside. Outdoor eateries, shops, and french replications (the Eifell tower and Arc de Triomphe) | The Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck
Bellagio - They have really good views and there weren’t a lot of people in the morning. I took some cute pictures. This is perfect for solo travelers who don’t like taking their pictures in front of others).
Aria Resort & CasinoOther famous resorts that I only saw passing by (The walk is long on the strip but it’s definitely worth it and if you go in the morning you have time to see more, especially if you plan to work later on that day).
The Venetian
The Cosmopolitan

You will most likely get to see all the resorts if you stay on the strip and walk the entire strip. The best way to see all the strips is to start from your hotel (mine was Excalibur and go down from there. Most of them were right next to each other, but they have a lot of square footage per resort, so it looks farther than it really is on my phone's Maps). I recommend writing them down based on the order of your preference and how far/close each resort is to the other.

EX.: If you are staying near Excalibur or Luxor and you want to visit Paris, Caesar's Palace, New York, New York, and Aria. Start with New York, New York, walk to Caesar's (closest to Excalibur), Aria, and then Paris (Paris is across from Aria).

Hope this wasn't too confusing.

3. The Big Apple Coaster. If you like rollercoasters: Head to New York, New York hotel, and ride the Big Apple Coaster.

Going during sunset is slightly more but the views are gorgeous. - IMO. :)

4. Visit your hotel pool. (Make sure to check the hours and weather!) Some may not have a nice pool so always check the reviews if that's important to you.

5. People watch at a casino of your choice... or several.

My favorite: New York, New York Hotel.

6. Shop at the strip.

I visited:

The Shops at Aria
Target

Harmon Retail Corner
Miracle Mile Shops
The Crystals (Beautiful architecture)

(*There are way more than the ones I have listed above. If you do a quick google search you can see the other shopping centers outdoor, indoor, high-end, and budget-friendly).

Grand Canal Shoppes (located inside The Venetian)
The Atrium at the Palazzo (The Venetian)
The Linq Promenade
The Forum Shops (located inside Caesar's Palace Las Vegas)
Polo Ralph Lauren (near the Forum)

Make sure to check the hours as some shops don't open up until later in the day. During the time I was walking around Vegas, I chose to go early in the morning and some stores were still not opened. So I went to Target (lol).

7. Uber to "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign.

9. Visit Fremont Street - (Not on the Strip) - If you visit on the First Friday of the Month

At the time of my visit, there were some tents/small shops located outside Caesar’s Palace.

Free Gaming Lessons:

"Luxor offers free Craps, Black Jack, and Roulette lessons daily at 12 Noon. If you always wanted to learn how to play Poker, Excalibur provides free lessons daily at 12 noon." - Mgmresorts.com

Tips:

Select the top 3 things you want to do (whether they’re on this list or not, you can Google online for more ideas).

Write them down, put them on your notes, or somewhere you can refer back to.

Use these notes when you get brain fogged or aren't sure what to do once you get there.

This has helped me eliminate worrying about not getting to my favorite touristy spots or places I want to visit (but if you decide you want to go with the flow and ditch your list don't stop yourself). This is helpful if you want to reduce wasting time, especially if you are only in Vegas for a couple of days.

What was most confusing for me, in Vegas, was trying to find the spots I was looking for using the maps on my phone. Some places (such as Earl of Sandwich) were inside other shopping centers. Sometimes Google will show you where it is located (see screenshot below).

It's best to put the location based on the commercial shopping center than the specific restaurant or shop to avoid wasting time.

P.S: This is not made to be a full itinerary, you can choose/select based on your trip duration and your preferences. Hopefully, this helps give you some ideas of walkable things to do near/on the Las Vegas Strip.
